ANDOVER’s Sunshine State Summer Challenge for incoming 3rd-5th graders

Let’s use Habit 2 and “Begin with the end in mind.”

If you read 3 of these fabulous Sunshine State books, and pass the AR test when you return to school in August, you will get a prize from Mrs. Norton. But what if you read the book in June and you are afraid that you will forget the information?  My advice is to write down important details, names, places, and events that stand out in the book.  Bring the notes with you during the first week of school so that you are ready to take an AR test.  Ask your teacher to email me the first week of school if you made this goal, and I will deliver your special prize!

I am looking for my next Battle of the Books team to start in December.  You must read 10 of the Sunshine State Books by December 1, 2018 to be invited into the Sunshine State Book Club.

Every child who completes a summer reading journal (read any 8 books) earns a free book.  There are many free books to choose from available for students in grades 1-6.

(Program runs May 15 - September 3, 2018)
