Principal's May Message

I can hardly believe that it is the last month of school!  As I look back on this year, I can tell you that I am so proud of the academic and personal gains our students have made.  As I continue to interact with faculty, staff, and students around the school campus, it makes my heart swell to see  everyone working together to help students stretch their thinking, navigate playground problem solving, adjust to changes, and take time each day to strengthen each other’s character and ability to make the most of school life.

Please make note of the many events happening this month.
Students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade will engage in standardized testing. One message to continue to reiterate to children is that they are well prepared as they have been learning and growing all year.

I am encouraging everyone to finish strong. We still have several weeks of school ahead of us.  It is important that all students are ready for each day of learning.  Students should get plenty of rest and eat a healthy breakfast each and every day.  It is also helpful to be sure to have your child to school on time so that they don’t feel rushed or flustered as they start the day.

Andover will be taking a census!  This will help us gather information to assist us in preparing classrooms for your return next year, or help us support you in obtaining the necessary documentation should your plans take you elsewhere.  Thank you all, in advance, for your assistance.

I would like to thank our parents and volunteers for their ongoing support.  Much of what we achieve, we do so because of your cooperation and faith in us.

I would also like to take a few moments to publicly thank my faculty and staff for their dedication and commitment. I would not be able to do what I do without such an outstanding team! I feel very blessed to be principal of this fine school.  Thank you all for helping Andover stars shine!
