Principal’s Message

Our new principal, Latricia Pinder

July 15, 2025

Dear Andover Elementary Families,

My name is Latricia Pinder, and I am thrilled to serve as the new Principal of Andover Elementary School. It is an honor to join such a dedicated and high-performing school community. I am excited to begin this journey with you and to work together in support of our scholars' academic and personal success.

My core belief is that people come first—our students, staff, families, and community partners. I believe that when we center decisions around what is best for students, empower staff to lead with confidence and creativity, and work alongside families as true partners, we create a school culture where everyone thrives.  You are your child’s first teacher, and your insights, concerns, and hopes are essential to our shared success. I look forward to building open lines of communication and working in partnership with you throughout the school year.

As we prepare for the 2025–2026 school year, I want to share a few important dates:

  • First Day of School: Monday, August 11, 2025
  • Popsicles with Principal Pinder: Thursday, August 7, 2025 at the Pavilion
    • Families with last names A–L: 3:30 – 4:00 PM
    • Families with last names M–Z: 5:30 – 6:00 PM
  • Meet the Teacher: Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 4:00–6:00 PM
    • Families with last names A–L: 4:00–5:00 PM
    • Families with last names M–Z: 5:00–6:00 PM
(This staggered schedule is designed to help with traffic and parking.)

Our theme for this school year is: “One Team. One Goal. ALL in!”

This theme embodies our vision of collaboration, relationships, and a unified school community. Together, we will create an environment where every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential.

Thank you for your warm welcome and continued partnership. I look forward to an incredible year ahead—ALL in, together!

Warm regards,
Latricia Pinder
